Tweeting Prayers

I can not help but be fascinated by the story of how Jewish people outside Jerusalem can now post their prayers on the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) via Twitter. Of course this is not to make light of the fact that this is a solemn and pious undertaking on the holiest prayer site in Judaism.
I think in a fast moving technologically developing world, man is trying to demystify and remove the abstract image of God as perpetuated by conventional religion.
First it was the phone and text prayers in Holland, then email and fax posting on the Jerusalem wall and now this! Twitter!
In a world where more and more people are increasingly taking a skeptical view of God and organized religion, probably such moves would help in inculcating a thought that God too can be ‘cool’ and can use Twitter and Facebook and other social networking tools.
But whether that really works remains to be seen or it is just another religious meaningless practice.
I wonder if there will come a time when our Muslim brethren as well will be able to virtually attend the Hijra via facebook or Twitter.
Just a thought.
